our session fees

This non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your session. Sessions include our time to shoot the session and requires an in person ordering meeting. Prints, Products and Digital Files are not included.

Hair and make up is available upon request for an additional $170

how do I schedule?

Find possible dates & times for your portrait session.

Most high school sessions are scheduled Monday thru Friday between 9am and 12pm. Please note that the studio isn’t typically open evenings as we prefer to not take that valuable time away from our families. However If that is the only time that works for you, we are willing to open the studio just for you for for an additional $150 after hours fee (per session) and $1500 minimum portrait order.

We also understand that for some, weekends are the only time that is available, that is why we will be opening limited slots a few weekends a month. These spots will be limited, so it is best to book your shoot early.

Find possible dates & times for your ordering session.

Typically this session is scheduled for one week after your portrait session. Since you will most likely be placing your order at this session, please be sure that anyone that needs to be involved in the decision making can attend!

During our initial phone conversation we will discuss what you are looking for in your high school portrait session. We will brainstorm ideas for your session and talk about options. We will then briefly discuss our pricing and email you our full product pricing guide.

Confirm your sessions with your payment.

After your initial phone consultation we will email you a link to access our Senior Portrait Experience Guide and our Product Catalogue.

Payments are taken over the phone to secure your date or we can email you an invoice to pay using either your credit/debit card or through PayPal.

If you need to reschedule, your entire payment will follow your rescheduled sessions and is refundable with a minimum 21 day advance notice of cancellation.

Just as you wouldn’t expect an interior designer to help you design your living room without actually seeing your space, likewise we are a design service that needs to see your space and decor in order to custom design portrait art that will fit beautifully.

Deciding what will look best in your home can be very difficult since there are so many options for you to select from... finishes (gallery wrapped canvas, fine art metal, acrylic), sizes, shapes, croppings, orientations, and coloring choices. However, at John Warren Photography our advanced ordering software simplifies the process for you!

During your view and order session, we are able to project your walls so that you can see exactly what your favorite images will look like in your home. We've been helping our clients design their interiors for years, and can guarantee that by actually seeing your portraits projected on your walls, you will be much more confident in your decision making. No more guessing... know that your finished portraits will look amazing displayed in your home.

All you need to do is take snapshots around your home of areas where you may possibly want to display some portraits and EMAIL them to us!

TIP 1: When walking around your home taking snapshots, don't be looking for just empty walls, look at all of your walls. If there's already something displayed on your walls, ask yourself if you really love the exisiting piece in that location.

TIP 2: Snapshots should be from floor to ceiling… try to include the entire wall!

TIP 3: Snapshots should be straight at the wall and NOT at an angle!

TIP 4: Let us know the measurement of something in the snapshot (length of wall, tv, cabinet, etc)... so that we can project your images at the appropriate proportion.

the ordering session

Approximately 1 week after your portrait session you will get to view your images for the first time. Since you will be placing your order at this time, please have ALL decision makers present. Also, anyone else who want to be part of the viewing and ordering process is more than welcome to join us. Please allow ample time for this session as we do not want your decisions to be rushed. So that you may focus your attention on your portrait selections, we do suggest arranging a sitter for small children.

After viewing your photos, we will slowly guide you through the process of selecting your favorite images. We will then use your favorite images to fulfill your wants & needs - whether it be gift portraits for friends & family, framed wall portraits, canvas gallery wraps, or custom designed albums to name a few!

Not only does the software allow you to compare multiple images in different sizes,croppings and layouts, but using your wall snapshots it also allows you to see exactly how your images will look in your home! It makes selecting the perfect sizes and images for your walls so much easier. No guessing whether your selections will look good in your home... actually see it and know you love how they will look!! And of course, we will be there to answer all of your questions along the way and, if asked, offer our professional opinion.

In order to qualify for a 10% discount and special gifts, nearly all clients choose to finalize their order during their ordering session. If, however, you are unable to finalize your order during this session, we will be happy to schedule an additional ordering session for you. The fee for this additional session is $100. Payment is required to finalize your portrait order. Available payment methods include cash, check, credit or debit card, bank transfers via Venmo or Zelle or if necessary - interest free payment plan.

can we set up a payment plan?

Yes! Our interest-free plans can be set up for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payments over a period of up to 3 months. Two methods of payment on file are required. The primary method (either post-dated checks or a credit card) will be automatically processed on each due date. The secondary method [a different credit card) will only be processed if the primary method fails to process successfully.

$30 bounced check fee. In case of default and no attempt is made to continue making payments, the entire balance becomes due immediately with a $35/imonth late fee assessed. If necessary a claim will be filed in small claims court to collect the balance, late fees and court costs.

Prepare a list of the family and friends for whom you'll need to order. Make a note of the approximate size for each. (Don’t forget anyone... parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins, godparents, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, babysitters, nannies, special neighbors, special coaches, special teachers...)

what happens after I place my oder?

Your Order is Placed into Production

We will hold your order for two days before placing it into production. If necessary, changes can be made to your order, HOWEVER please realize that making order changes requires additional phone calls, emails, refiguring of collections, creation of new invoices, adjustment of payment plans, waiting for approval, etc. John Warren Photography would rather take time to create gifts for you. Therefore if you do decide to make any changes or place your order on hold, you will no longer receive the 10% discount or bonus gifts. After your order has been placed into production NO CHANGES may be made to your order as we will begin retouching and enhancing your images in detail.

Images Not Ordered are Discarded

Any images that were not ordered will be discarded. All ordered images will be archived for a minimum of one year for reorders and/or holiday cards. However, the inevitable is possible and John Warren Photography is not liable for loss of images after your portrait order has been delivered. To ensure you get all images you want, we recommend you order everything you want at the time of your ordering session. Payment plans are available.

Retouched Images Uploaded Online

Within two weeks, all retouched images will be uploaded to an online gallery so that you can share them with your friends and family. (Please notice only ORDERED images are retouched and uploaded to your online gallery.) Galleries online are password protected.

5 Days to Request Additional Image Retouching

It is your responsibility to make sure you are completely satisfied with your retouched images. Please notify Shirk Photography if there is any additional image retouching you would like WITHIN 5 DAYS of being notified that your images are online. Selecting alternative images for your products at this time is possible for an additional 20% reprocessing and retouching fee. After 5 days your products will be created. If there are any additional adjustments you would like after they have been created, Shirk Photography will recreate the product for you at a 50% discount.

Your Order is Ready!

Depending upon the products ordered, please allow up to 4 - 8 weeks for delivery of your order. Rush orders are available for an additional fee. We will contact you as soon as your portraits are ready so that we can schedule a time for you to pick them up. Portrait orders can be shipped upon request at applicable FedEx or USPS shipping rates. When you pick up your portraits, we will go over your order with you in detail to ensure everything is to your satisfaction.

It is ILLEGAL to COPY, SCAN, SCREEN CAPTURE or REPRODUCE (photographic or electronic) any John Warren Photography images without the express written consent of John Warren Photography. Each client accepts full responsibility in assuring that unauthorized copies of their images are never made and accept the associated financial consequences. Since actual damages are difficult to ascertain, John Warren Photography shall be entitled to recover liquidated damages in the amount of $3,000.00 and reasonable attorney’s fees.
